Diamantine sweater
by Sarah Hatton
Our elegant top features a pattern of radiating zigzags worked from the centre out. You start the front and back pieces by working the Magic Loop method or using DPNs, then gradually expand outwards following the lace pattern - it should be fun to watch the fabric grow! The sleeves, lower edging and neckband are then knitted on to the main body.
We’ve used Rowan’s Baby Merino Silk DK, a machine-washable blend of merino and silk that has a wonderfully soft feel and is available in 20 muted shades.
Needles required:
1 set 3.25mm circular needles, 80cm long
1 set 4mm circular needles, 80cm long
1 set 4mm double-pointedneedles (DPNs) (optional)
