I had wanted to knit a wrap for a friend, but I wanted it to be something that would stay without the need of buttons, shawl pins, etc. A cape seemed ideal. I also wanted it to be relatively light weight and the drape to start on the shoulders rather than the neck. Thus was born this short lace cape. The diamond lace pattern is lovely and relatively easy to remember. And the cape knits up fairly quickly. It took me less than a week to knit both the large and medium sized capes.

The second cape I knit with Good Karma Yarn, January Thaw. It required only one skein of the sport weight.
