This can be made using most yarns It has been made using DK with a 5mm hook to fit a 78 cm/ 30” Hoop and also size 20 cotton with a 3.5mm hook and ending on Rnd 14 to fit a 45cm/ 18” hoop, you can easily adjust the size by changing your hook size
