The gauge is tighter than stated on the yarn label to ensure that the mittens are firm, dense, and fit snugly on the hand.

Want to use leftover yarn? The ribbing on the mittens requires approx. 20 g and the colors at the bottom require just under 9 g, depending on where on the mitten the color is used. On the pair shown, color 1 is used for the ribbing, half of the first pattern row and one row later, which used 32 g of the color.
