Diamond-Pattern Bedjacket #21
Mon Tricot MD38, Nov/Dec 1976, One of 2 or 3 in a section called “Lounging Jackets”. Crylor is either fingering or sport weight - it is critical to know that 2 strands of Crylor are used together for the entire sweater.
An Aran or Worsted weight yarn can be substituted, but I would not go to a lighter weight (I had disastrous results knitting this in single strand sport weight).
The entire jacket is garter stitch, and stitched are picked up along the front/neckline, and sleeve slits and one row knitted and cast off at the same time.
There are no charts with this sweater and the pattern is dated -- it has 7.5” armhole length and is tight fitting. The pattern has excellent sweater diagrams for Fronts, Back, and Sleeves.
This is a really cute, fun, fast knit with the advantage of not being too hot a garment due to the diamond lace.
