The pattern is written round by round and is very easy to follow.

Gauge: 20 stitches and 28 rounds = 4 inches, in stockinette stitch,
knit in the round.
Needles: Gauge needle, the sample was knit with US5
Sizes: 1, 2, 3 and 4
Measurements: 24-inch circumference at top,
48, 51, 54, 57 inches circumference at the bottom.
13, 14, 15, 15 inch depth.
The sample was knit with 24-inch circulars.
Sparrow sample is size 1, Malabrigo is a size 2
