Diamonds And Pearls is the third entry in the Anniversary Cowl collection, celebrating the continued success of The Yarn Stop in Clawson, Michigan.

Pearls are the traditional third anniversary gemstone, and diamonds are a traditional lace pattern. Combine them with two luscious yarns and optional beads for a celebration of texture.

Diamonds and Pearls is available in two lengths: a short, single wrap, and a long length that can be worn doubled. Both lengths are worked with a strand of Sugar Bush Yarns Itty-Bitty held with a strand of Sugar Bush Yarns Drizzle. Optional beads add sparkle and a hard element to contrast the mohair halo.

Go subtle or bold with your yarn and bead choices. Drizzle that matches the Itty-Bitty will create a gentle halo, while a contrasting selection will be more visible and even create a two-tone effect. Matching beads will be visible only by their sparkle. Choose beads that coordinate but don’t match for bigger visual impact.

Needles: size US6 (4 mm), 24” (29”), or size required to get gauge

Gauge: 19 stitches = 4” in Beaded Lace pattern, worked with one strand of MC held with one strand of CC

Yarn: MC: Sugar Bush Yarns Itty-Bitty, 1 (2) skein(s); CC: Sugar Bush Yarns Drizzle, 1 skein

Techniques: working in the round, lace from charts, beaded knitting, bobbles, using 2 yarns together

Other: 270 (448) size 6˚ glass seed beads (optional); size .75 mm crochet hook for placing beads

Long (double-able) and short versions included in pattern. The only difference is the amount of yarn used and the number of stitches to cast on.

The short length cowl will use every bit of the skein of Itty-Bitty, including that used for the gauge swatch. If you want to keep your swatch, you will need to purchase a second skein.
