To celebrate the launch of my new yarn collection KID SILK, I am pleased to offer you this free hat pattern: the DIAPHANE model!

To knit this pattern, I used a yarn that produces stripes from the PatricKnits collection that I doubled with a very fine mohair yarn. The mixture of the two yarns produces a fluffy result where the colors blend together in a diaphanous effect that is as soft to look at as it is to touch.

The cable stitch pattern of this model is perfect to practice the technique of knitting cables without using a cable needle. Discover this method by watching our video tutorial

IN ADDITION TO THIS FREE HAT PATTERN, YOU WILL NEED THE FOLLOWING MATERIAL TO KNIT THE DIAPHANE HAT:

YARN

  • PatricKnits Collection SIGNATURE YARN (85% merino sw, 15% nylon; 400 m / 100g) about 35 grams, shown in the color KIITOS.
  • Louise Robert Collection KID SILK (75% kid mohair, 25% silk; 210 m / 25g) about 20 g, shown in the color COURTISANE.
