Join Dick on his journey to seek his fortune.

Taking in a pantomime show is a Christmas tradition for many families, and I have chosen a few of my favourite characters for this year’s Panto season. The cast of this Pantomime includes Dick Whittington, Cat, and Rat, and of course the traditional Pantomime Horse.

Designed by Amanda Berry @fluffandfuzz, the dolls are knitted in acrylic DK yarns on single pointed needles (not in the round).

NEEDLES:
A pair of 3mm single pointed knitting needles (US 2.5).

RECOMMENDED YARN:
Yarnsmiths Create DK; double knitting/light worsted weight; 100% acrylic; One 100g/290m skein in each colour.


NOTIONS:
Tapestry needle, toy filling, plus buttons, and beads for features and decoration.

SIZES:
One size only - From 2cm to 17cm tall. Heights of each toy are Dick Whittington 17cm, Cat 7cm, Horse 13cm and Rat 2cm.

TECHNIQUES:
For confident beginners/intermediate and above, other techniques used include casting on and off, knits, purls, increases and decreases, short row shaping, knitting stripes, and mattress stitch seaming and embroidery to finish.
