The finished toy is approximately 22 cm high (without spikes)
The finished baby rattle is approximately 12-14 cm high.

Materials and tools for crocheting:

4-ply sport weight semi-cotton or cotton yarn* (amounts are approximate), 1 skein = 50 grams, the following colors:
YarnArt Jeans green #69 – from 45 grams (~1 skein, you may need more than one skein) for a toy; from 15 grams (1/3 of skein) for a baby rattle.
YarnArt Jeans dark green #82 – 5 grams (1/10 of skein);
I used: YarnArt Jeans (55% cotton + 45% Acrylic), 174 yards (160m), 1.76 Oz (50 g)
Yarn consumption can increase up to 1.5 times when crocheting with yarn over (YO) method. And the toy will have a bigger size.

Hook size 2 mm (or other suitable for the yarn).
Black (or dark gray) thread for eye embroidery.
Blunt-ended yarn needle.
Thin needle for eye embroidery.
Scissors or yarn snips.
Polyester stuffing.
Rattle ball for toys. (I use a rattle ball 2.8 cm in diameter).
Tweezers for stuffing,
Stitch markers.
