A dark or neutral colored skinny isosceles triangle dips into a more vibrant color at its narrow tip. These colors transition in the middle via stripes. An I-cord travels all around this garter triangle shawl.

Materials: Harvest Fingering, 1 skein for each color, shown in Indigo (MC), Blueberry (CC)

Dimensions: 74.5’’ / 189.5 cm length, 16.5” / 42 cm base width

Needle: US 4 / 3.50 mm (straight or circular), any length to accomadate stitches; or size needed to obtain gauge

Notions: Tapestry needle, markers as needed (optional)

Gauge: 30 sts x 37 rows in Garter stitch = 4’’/10 cm square, steam blocked

Skill level: Easy

Techniques: Garter stitch, I-cord cast on, I-cord edges, increases, I-cord bind off

Construction Notes:
Starting with the tip of the triangle, Dip expands with increases on both sides, making the triangle a skinny isosceles. It is worked flat in Garter stitch. Colors are transitioned with stripes in a rate of repeats in the middle. CC slowly fades into the MC color, then the triangle’s base is worked in MC only. Dip is trimmed with I-cord edges.
