Dit an’ Dah Cowl is a bobble and drop stitch design which makes a soft, textured cowl to keep the wearer as warm as toast. Named after the Dots and Dashes of Morse Code.

There are three options which come with the pattern:
Drapey cowls knitted with one skein
Chunky cowl knitted holding two strands together
Long, loopy cowl which wraps around the neck twice

The cowl is provisionally cast-on and then grafted at the ends with Kitchener stitch for a virtually invisible seam, but feel free to use your usual cast-on and bind-off and stitch the seam together.

I’ve put together some hints and tips on making this cowl which can be viewed on YouTube.

Errata: In original kit pattern, on Rows 4 and 8, the special abbreviation should read V and not X.

Also, when knitting the single skein drapey cowl, it’s worth leaving out one repeat or even just a couple of rows if you’re a loose knitter and the yardage seems to be coming up short.
