Divisionism (also Pointillism) Is the characteristic style of Neo Impressionist painting, defined by separation of colors into individual dots or patches which interact optically.
(Think Seurat and Signac)
Designed for 4 colors - 2 solids or semi solids and 2 variegates. You are highly encouraged to try your own combinations!
Main Body: Honeycomb texture of 2 row color stripe pairings. Pairings cycle through all combinations providing a lesson and ‘sampler’ to demonstrate how different colors interact.
Lower Edge: Simple lace (a modified Old Shale Stitch) cycling through the colorways at 4 row intervals.
Line-by-line abbreviated instructions.
Basic Triangle: Two mirrored sections.
Worked top down from center using a modified garter tab.
Beginner Skills: k, k1b, p, yo, k2tog, ssk.
3 Garter each side edge + 2 Garter center
column.
