This one’s another geometric stranded colourwork design with some fun new techniques sprinkled in—perfect for anyone who loves a creative challenge!

Starting January 20th, 2025, you’ll get 7 weekly clues that slowly reveal the final design—like unwrapping a little surprise every week. Finished chest circumference:

• 91.5 (101.5, 110, 120, 131.5, 140, 150, 161.5, 170) cm
• 36½ (40½, 44, 48, 52½, 56, 60, 64½, 68)”

Designed to be worn with 10-15 cm / 4-6” positive ease around the chest.
To choose the most appropriate size, measure the wearer’s chest and add the preferred ease. Or measure the circumference of an already-owned sweater that fits well. Then find the closest finished chest circumference.

For those with a bust size larger than a C cup, it’s advisable to use the upper bust measurement plus the desired ease to ensure the sweater fits well around the shoulders, with slightly less ease around the full bust.

Yarn: Fingering or sport weight, depending on the length of the pullover, allow approximately:

Main colour (MC):

• 940 (1030, 1080, 1180, 1250, 1315, 1405, 1505, 1585) m
• 1030 (1130, 1180, 1290, 1365, 1440, 1540, 1650, 1735) yds

Contrast colour (CC):

• 455 (490, 540, 575, 620, 660, 715, 760, 815) m
• 495 (540, 590, 630, 680, 725, 785, 830, 890) yds

It’s a good idea to keep a strong contrast between your main and contrast colours. If you’re using yarn that changes colors, make sure the contrast level stays consistent across all the colours.

Yarns used in sample (size 2) are 3 skeins of Moondrake Co. Ultraviolet Stardust (85% Superwash Merino, 15% Neon Donegal Nep; 400 m 437 yds / 100 g) as main colour and 3 skeins of Spincycle Yarns Dyed In The Wool (100% American Wool; 183 m 200 yds / approximately 47 g) colourways exclusively for Do Ewe Knit?, Ewenicorn and Across the Eweniverse as contrast colour.

Gauge: 28 sts & 34 rows = 10 cm / 4” in Stockinette stitch and colourwork in the round, on larger needles, blocked.

Suggested needles:

• 2.75 mm (US 2) circulars 60-100 cm / 24-40” long and/or DPNs for small circumference knitting
• 2.25 mm (US 1) circulars 60-100 cm / 24-40” long and/or DPNs for small circumference knitting

Notions: Stitch markers, locking stitch markers and/or bobby pins if using Japanese short rows, row counter, stitch holder, tapestry needle.

Techniques used: Knitting in the round, short rows, mosaic knitting, stranded knitting, lifted increases, ladderback jacquard.

Notes: The pullover is worked seamlessly in the round from the top down.
