Every spring on Cape Cod, thousands of dogwood trees burst into bloom in beautiful white or pink flowers. The Dogwood Suit, that celebrates our beautiful trees, is composed of a high-waisted, pull-on skirt, worked bottom up and in the round, with a cropped, 3/4 sleeve jacket, worked bottom-up and flat. The set-in, 3/4 sleeves are worked bottom-up, in the round and sewn on. The sample is knit up in Peace Fleece Worsted, which is soft and squishy with a beautiful halo, perfect for chilly spring days. The suit features a delicate pattern of tiny blossoms or sprouts and is customizable in many ways including skirt length, jacket length, sleeve length, color, and number of (or no) flowers. The flowers are simple, worked one petal at a time with a bobble for the center. They are a perfect on-the-go project. The suit comes together to form a lovely statement piece that will show everyone how much you have been longing for spring!
