The pattern specifies:

Bedspread Weight Cotton Thread (size 10): 48 yards.

Steel crochet hook, size 7 (1.65 mm) or size needed for gauge.

Gauge Swatch: 2.5” / 6.5 cm square = first motif.

Stitches: Treble Crochet, Beginning Cluster, Cluster, Decrease, Small Picot, Large Picot.

The three square motifs are worked in 5 rounds (joined as you go on the 5th round). The edging is 3 rounds.
