Doll's Party Dress
Thread: one ball each size 10 and size 20
Hooks: US steel sizes 9 and 11
Additional materials:
- 1/2 yd quarter-inch satin ribbon
- 1/8 yd fabric for slip
- 6” round elastic
- 12 tiny sequins
- 12 seed beads
- sewing thread
- two snap fasteners
The dress is worked in a combination of flat and in-the-round. The bodice is made with #10 thread and closes in the back with snaps. A small ornament on the bodice is made of sequins sewn on with seed beads. The skirt is made with #20 thread. A ribbon is threaded through the waist.
The pattern includes instructions for an elastic-waist fabric slip.
Sized for a Barbie-type doll with the 1960s figure: 5.5”/3.125”/5”. The fit may vary on modern dolls.
