El Chal Don Quijote está inspirado en la obra homónima del gran escritor del siglo de oro español Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra. En él están representados tres de sus personajes principales: Don Quijote, Sancho Panza y Dulcinea del Toboso.

Comienza con un montaje de lengüeta y se va construyendo como si fuera un chal triangular simétrico, pero en un cierto momento, a través de vueltas cortas, uno de los lados comienza a “deformarse” y “engrandecerse” como la mente de Alonso Quijano que, tras leer muchos libros de caballería, pierde la cabeza y llega a creerse un caballero andante: Don Quijote de la Mancha. Dada la dualidad entre Alonso Quijano (yo real) y Don Quijote (yo ideal) la mitad derecha del chal será diferente de la izquierda. La derecha representa a Alonso Quijano a través del punto jersey. La izquierda a Don Quijote, con un punto similar, pero más elaborado y las vueltas cortas. Toda esta parte está atravesada por pequeñas intersecciones de punto bobo que representan a Sancho Panza, el escudero sencillo, bonachón y gordinflón que acompaña fielmente a Don Quijote en todas sus aventuras. Por último, el chal se cierra con un borde perpendicular más delicado y con una trenza que representa a Dulcinea del Toboso, el amor ideal de Don Quijote.

2 madejas de Lise de Aitana Villa Yarns (50% merino superwash, 50% seda) (400 m/100 g). En la muestra se ha usado el color Sant Jordi.
Puedes usar cualquier otro hilado de grosor fingering de composición similar.

• Agujas circulares de 3,5 mm (o las necesarias para obtener la muestra de tensión) y cable de, al menos, 80 cm.
• Marcadores.
• Aguja auxiliar de trenzas.
• Aguja lanera.
• Tijeras.

The Don Quijote Shawl is inspired by the work of the same name by the great writer of the golden age Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra. In it are represented three of its main characters: Don Quijote, Sancho Panza and Dulcinea del Toboso.

It is an asymmetrical triangular shawl. It begins with a garter tab cast-on and is contructed as if it were a symmetrical triangular shawl except that at a certain point, through short rows, one of the sides starts to grow and become “deformed” like the mind of Alonso Quijano who, through reading many books on knightage, loses his mind and starts to believe that he himself is a knight: Don Quijote de la Mancha. Given the duality between Alonso Quijano (the real him) and Don Quijote (the ideal him), the right half of the shawl is different to the left half. The right represents Quijano with stockinette stitch; the left Don Quijote with a similiar stitch pattern but more elaborate and with short rows. All of this part is crossed with small intersections of garter stitch to represent Sancho Panza, the simple podgy nice-guy squire who loyally accompanies Don Quijote on all of his adventures. Finally, the shawl is finished with a more delicate perpendicular edging with a cable to represent Dulcinea del Toboso, the woman of Don Quijote’s dreams.

YARN
2 skeins of Lise from Aitana Villa Yarns (50% merino superwash, 50% silk) (400m/100g). The sample shown used the colour Sant Jordi.
You can use any other fingering weight yarn of similar characteristics.

MATERIALS

• 3.5mm circular needles (or size needed to get gauge) and a cable of at least 80cm.
• Stitch markers.
• Cable needle.
• Tapestry needle.
• Scissors.

Don Quijote è uno scialle ispirato all’omonima opera del grande scrittore Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra e vi sono rappresentati i suoi tre protagonisti: Don Quijote, Sancho Panza e Dulcinea del Toboso.

Comincia con un avvio garter tab ed è costruito come se fosse uno scialle triangolare simmetrico, salvo che, a un certo punto, grazie ai ferri accorciati, uno dei lati comincia a crescere e a “deformarsi” come la mente di Alonso Quijano che, dopo aver letto molti libri sulla cavalleria, perde la ragione e comincia a credere di essere egli stesso un cavaliere: Don Quijote de la Mancha. Data la dualità tra Alonso Quijano (l’io reale) e Don Quijote (l’io ideale), la metà destra dello scialle è diversa dalla metà sinistra. La prima, a maglia rasata, rappresenta Quijano; la seconda, con un punto simile ma più elaborato e con ferri accorciati, rappresenta Don Quijote. Questa parte è attraversata da piccole sezioni intermedie di maglia legaccio, che rappresentano Sancho Panza, il bravo ragazzo, semplice e corpulento, che, come leale scudiero, accompagna Don Quijote in tutte le sue avventure. Lo scialle termina con un delicato bordo perpendicolare con una treccia, che rappresenta Dulcinea del Toboso, la donna dei sogni di Don Quijote.

Puoi usare qualunque filato fingering con caratteristiche simili.
