My Dot Pillow is composed of tiny granny squares with circle centers. After I found these pretty colors of Rowan Summerlite DK yarn, I knew I wanted to make a pillow with them! This pillow is a nice, relaxing pattern. While it is a simple pillow, it may be one of my favorite ones I have made.
I used the following colors of Rowan Summerlite DK yarn: 2 powder pink, 1 plaster, 1 rogue, 1 cantaloupe, 1 summer, 1 khaki, 1 giggle, and 1 seashell. However, any DK weight yarn will work! The circles inside of the squares do not require a lot of yarn, so this is a great stash busting project. You will also need a 14 by 14 in (35 by 35 cm) pillow insert and five buttons (1.5 cm in diameter). The buttons allow the pillow the be taken on and off of the insert.
The written pattern includes some pictures to explain the steps. I hope you enjoy the pattern!
Update: I recently made another dot pillow that matches this pillow, so I have also included the pattern for it! When you purchase the pattern, you will receive a pdf for each of the dot pillow patterns. The second one also uses Rowan Summerlite DK yarn, and specific color information is included in the pdf.
