My first shawl design, it is named after my grandmother! A simple top down shawl, starts with a garter tab. the first section features a lovely textured stitch pattern that showcases speckled, tonal, variegated or solid yarns beautifully. The second section is a very simple and easy to memorize lace ribbing pattern, which would look stunning in a tonal or speckled yarn due to its simplicity. Throw in some simple garter stripes and you have a shawl!

The construction of the shawl is simple and keeps it from rolling up on you, due to strategically placed garter stitch sections. (I hate when shawls roll up around your neck.)

Yarn: Pink Sample used 2 skeins of simple sock from The Lemonade Shop:
1 skein in “Willow” for color A used 195 yards
1 skein in “Agnes” for color B used 265 yards

Needles: US size 6 circular needles 24 inches long.

Notions: 3 stitch markers and a tapestry needle for weaving in ends.

Techniques: Increasing, yarn overs, decreasing, shaping

Any of The Lemonade Shop’s fingering weight yarns would work beautifully with this pattern.

Thank you so much!!
