A beanie in Lang Yarns Merino 400 Lace, 100% merino wool, almost as soft as Cashmere! Incredibly soft and price worthy yarn.
The beanie can be worked in a huge number of variations since you work with yarn held double. Choose if you want a uni-colored beanie, mélange color or striped according to the pattern.
The beanie is thin, smooth, and slightly baggy. You can also fold the brim and get a tighter and warmer beanie.

Size: (S) M (L)
S = kids 8 years – small women’s size, M = women’s size – small men’s size, L = large women’s – men’s size.

Yarn: 50 g Lang Yarns Merino 400 Lace, the beanie is worked with yarn held double. For a striped version you will need 4 shades in Merino 400.
(100% extra fine merino, 25 g = 200 m)
Merino 400 is “Cradle to cradle certified” which means that it is produced sustainably, environmentally friendly, and fair trade. You can also track each skein of yarn to the farm where it came from.

Needles: Circular needles 40 cm, 3.5 and 4 mm + double pointed needles 4 mm

Gauge: 23 sts stockinette stitch with yarn held double on 4 mm needles = 10 cm

Striped beanie: For a striped beanie as the pattern describes you will need:
1 ball light and 1 ball dark base color and 2 stripe colors.

The beanie in the pictures has: black and beige base colors, dark green as stripe color 1 and orange as stripe color 2.
