This moebius is a fast, beautiful, high-impact accessory that is so fun to knit, it’s like eating pistachios. (Betcha can’t make just one!)

It begins with a moebius cast-on in the center or “spine” and works out to the edges. The edge has a small bit of Fair-Isle and is finished with an applied I-cord bind-off. Video tutorials for both the moebius cast-on and the I-cord bind-off are available here

In order to get the Fair-Isle edge stripes to stand out, the two colors used need to be in high contrast with each other. One needs to be fearless about unwinding the yarn from the skein to get to just the right color. If the colors start moving too closely in tone to each other, break the yarn and add a different color that will give you the strong contrast needed. (Incidentally, Silk Garden spit-splices beautifully and you won’t have extra ends to weave in!)

If that seems like too much work, you can use Noro Cash Iroha or Malabrigo Silky Wool as a coordinating solid to achieve the strong color contrast.
