Materials Requirements

The dinosaur that has been crocheted for this pattern, has been made using Marriner double-knit smooth touch yarn. Any double knit/ 3 light or cotton based / 2 fine yarn will work for this pattern.

Blue approx 100 g
Cream approx 40 g
Small amount of black to make the mouth and eye brows.
Polyester toy stuffing
Safety Eyes 14 mm - please note that attached eyes are not recommended for toys created for children!
Scissors
Tapestry or Darning Needle used for sewing motifs together.
Stitch markers

Hook size needed
2.50 mm

Using this weight yarn and size hook will give you a dinosaur roughly measuring
36 cm length - head to tail.

26 cm in height - top of head to the bottom of the feet.

11 cm in width-across the belly

All the crochet stitches used in this pattern are based on American crochet terms

If you are planning to make your dinosaur in a heavier weight yarn, adjust your hook size accordingly. Use the smallest hook size possible for the weight of yarn that you are using. You need the stitches tight so the stuffing doesn’t show too much between stitches.
I recommend making a test motif to gauge tension.
