The shawl is worked in three identical pieces which are joined using the Kitchener stitch for a smooth finish.
Illustrations are included to show the construction of this piece.
Required Yardage Per Color
Note: These yardages are approximate and are based on the yarn used in the sample. They are given to assist you in substituting yarns. Be sure to allow extra, as different yarns may not use the same amounts show here, and even slight differences in gauge will impact the amount of yarn used.
Color A (Cerise in Sample): 490 yds (450 m)
Color B (Peach Sorbet in Sample): 200 yds (180 m)
Color C (Graphite in Sample): 260 yds (240 m)
Color D (Terracotta in Sample): 430 yds (390 m)
Color E (Orchid in Sample): 430 yds (390 m)
Needles: Three US 6 (4mm) circular needles at least 32” (80cm) or size to obtain gauge.
One set of four US 6 (4mm) double pointed needles or size to obtain gauge
Other Materials: Tapestry needle, 4 stitch markers, scrap yarn or additional circular needles in the same or smaller size.
