Dragon Scales is a triangular shawl with a slipped stitch pattern for the body and a lace border. The slipped stitch pattern makes a lovely right and wrong side and the stripes add some interest. The pattern is simple enough for an adventurous beginner, but changes often enough to keep you on your toes!

There are two versions of this shawl, the first (blue with green and orange contrasting colors) uses 1 skein of Swan’s Island Ecowash sport and 2 different skeins of Spincycle Yarn’s Dyed in the Wool. The second version uses 1 skein each of two different colors of The Fibre Co. Meadow. So there is a lot of flexibility with this pattern! You can use any yarn from heavy lace to sport weight, and it’s written like a recipe, so it’s easy to adjust.
