Dragon Scarf
by Helen Free
This scarf uses self striping yarn and a variation of Crocodile Stitch to create a scarf that is both warm and fun to wear. The head at the end of the scarf doubles up as a mitten or a phone pocket and the pattern includes a separate mitten for the other hand.
Materials
Autumn Dragon: James C. Brett Aurora DK (100g/345m).
Spring Dragon: Wendy Giggles (100g/360m).
The main scarf uses 3 balls, the wings use 1 ball and the mitten uses 1 ball.
Small amounts of black and white DK for the eyes.
Notions
4.00mm hook, tapestry needle for sewing in ends.
Tension
17sts and 18rows in dc (US sc) to 10cm x 10cm.
3 scales on the body to 10cm wide.
