Gauge: Not important in this pattern. The tighter you make your stitches, the better.

sl st - slip stitch
sc - single crochet
hdc - half double crochet
dc - double crochet
htr - half treble crochet
tr - treble crochet
d.sc. - decreased single crochet
st(s) - stitch(es)
yo - yarn over
tn - turn
F.O. - fasten off
Use crochet thread and size 7 steel hook only where the pattern calls for it. Everything else is worsted weight yarn with your D hook.
