Dreaming of Edinburgh
These fingerless mitts are elbow length with a relaxed fit and are constructed with shaping down the arm to the wrist with a thumb gusset. They are worked flat to facilitate the simple intarsia design, then seamed up the outside edge so the thumb can be worked in the round.
Skill level: easy intermediate
Skills required: beginning knowledge of intarsia colorwork
Stitches: knit, purl, increases and decreases, mattress stitch for seaming
This pattern is written for those with a beginning knowledge of the intarsia colorwork technique. If you love these mitts, don’t be intimidated by the argyle! It’s easier than it looks :)
Happy Knitting,
Selena
