“Drevo” means “tree” in archaic Ukrainian, and is a word you only find in poems and books these days. And yes, I’m referring to the tree-like pattern on the central panel of the design. The word is also connected to two very ancient concepts: “tree of life” and “tree of sin”. With the first one offering fruit of eternal life and happiness and the second – the forbidden fruit.

This design is a next step in my explorative journey of the construction method I previously used in my Bifurca vest and Bifurca pullover.

The pullover has a modular construction and consists of a rectangular central panel (worked in the round) and four sides, worked sideways from the central panel and joined at the underarms. Both back and front feature a V-neck opening, which is deeper on the front and options to adjust the both depths are provided. The sleeves and hem are worked top-down in the round.
