Drucilla Shawl
The Drucilla Shawl is a multi option pattern. Choose from a triangle or diamond shape and make it in heavy lace, 4ply or DK or even your own handspun yarn.
The pattern was originally published in John Arbon Textile’s The Annual 1 (some photos are courtesy of John Arbon Textiles.
SHAWL SHAPE
This pattern can be crocheted as a triangular shawl or a C2C diamond that is doubled over for extra warmth.
SHAWL CONSTRUCTION
Simple and repetitive row repeat V-stitches mean you can crochet a triangular shawl, increasing the row lengths as you go. If you fancy a warm double thickness shawl, you can crochet Drucilla corner to corner (C2C) to make a crocheted hap style shawl.
A simple border is added, either using the same yarn or a contrast colour border. Using a weight percentage system, you can work out how much yarn you need. The border requires up to 10% of the weight of the main body of the shawl.
Mindful crochet project that can be made as large or small as you like.
TERMINOLOGY
This pattern is written in standard UK terms.
