Dryer Ball and Pincushion

This pattern was originally conceived as a way to use ‘early spinner’ yarns--the thick/thin, lumpy/bumpy yarn. There generally isn’t enough to make a sweater or a scarf, but there is enough to make a dryer ball or pincushion.
These can be worked with any yarn at any gauge. I recommend using wool or at least a feltable yarn for the dryer ball.
And, of course, with instructions for making a ball, this could also be adapted for a child’s toy or hackysacks.
