Dual Purpose
I love the beauty and visual interest of hand dyed yarns, and the perfect pattern gives the colors room to unfold, change, and move. The texture of this sweater is simple garter stitch, but the construction makes the stitches ‘flow’ vertically as well as horizontally. The shape is comfy and wearable, and there are little details that keep things interesting: cuffs knit on a smaller needle, a loose turtleneck, and two colors that are highly contrasting but complementary. This sweater will take you from the couch to the market, and back again.
