Good luck knitting just one duck!

This is an almost-seamless, intermediate-level knitting pattern that incorporates a number of techniques to keep you on your webbed toes: picking up stitches, 3-needle bind-off, and pinch of mattress stitch. Any yarn will work—you’ll just need small amounts of 2 colors, plus a bit of black for eyes.

The footed duck stands on its own, or you can skip the feet for a wobbly-but-charming classic “rubber ducky” look.

One duck takes about 1-3 hours to make, so if you find yourself with time on your hands… hello, hatching season! Make a mama duck out of worsted-weight yarn or ducklings out of fingering-weight yarn.
