For more than a decade I’ve worked with street performers and sometimes circus artists while producing festivals. There seems to be a habit among these artists to give their finale trick a name, followed by “OF DEATH” to make it sound even more dangerous. I’ve presented “The Tightrope OF DEATH”, “The Neck-to-Neck Balance OF DEATH”, and quite possibly my favourite application of the term “The Flaming Tits OF DEATH”. This pattern uses a reversible diamond pattern to create a fabric that has different diamonds on each side, becoming, of course “The Dueling Diamonds OF DEATH”!

This pattern is for fully reversible mittens that coordinate with the Duelling Diamonds OF DEATH! Neckwarmer.

The diamonds are really visible when worn wrong-side (as knit) out. Wear them right-side out when you’re trying to be stealthily fabulous.
