Notes From the Designer:
Duha is the Czech word for rainbow. No matter the language, a rainbow remains a symbol of hope and renewal for people throughout the world. The Stormy Rainbow Hues Luster Sport Kit provides a sumptuous yet subtle palette to wrap yourself in the beauty and comfort of a misty rainbow.
Rows are worked lengthwise in a combination of single crochet, half-double crochet, and double crochet stitches for the solid stripes; lace stripes intersperse chain stitches as well. This beginner-friendly pattern can be completed in just 21 days by working four rows a day!
To refine the edges, try replacing a foundation chain and single crochet base with foundation single crochet stitches. A video tutorial is available. Instead of starting double crochet rows with three chain stitches, which can leave a gap, use a no-turning-chain beginning double crochet stitch instead.

- This pattern doesn’t have a right or wrong side.
- You may find it helpful to place removable stitch markers every 60 sts to divide sections of dc, hdc, and sc sts in each row.
- For best results, block your shawl to create smooth transitions between dc, hdc, and sc sections, and to create scalloped ends.
- Gauge is not crucial but could affect overall size and yardage.
