Eagle’s Flight is a long and narrow crescent shaped shawl imitating the dramatic beauty of an eagle’s wings while in flight.
The majority of the shawl is worked in garter stitch and in one color, while two pattern bands along the outer edge are worked in a dark and a light contrasting yarn.

The upper edge of the shawl stays in shape due to a modified i-cord. Five two-stitch rays lead from the centre of neck and out, enclosing fields of garter stitch which will take on different row directions due to increases and decreases worked next to each ray. The shawl is finished with a subtle picot bind off along the outer edge.

Yarn: 200 g + 100 g + 100 g Prairie Spun DK 100% wool, 230 m / 100 g or equivalent. Colours used in sample are; main colour in sample is Lost Lake, contrast colour A is Damselfly, contrast colour B is Blackbird
Needles and notions: Circular needle size US 10 / 6 mm, 5 stitchmarkers
Gauge: 18 stitches / 28 rows of garter stitch = 4 inches / 10 cm

Örnens flykt är en smal och nymåneformad schal, vars mönster och form imiterar den dramatiska skönheten hos en örn i flykt.

Till största delen stickas den i enfärgad rätstickning med två bårder av mönster i kontrastfärger längs ytterkanten.

Den övre kanten består av i-cord. Från nacken strålar fem linjer, som med hjälp av minskningar och ökningar gör att ytterkanten slutar i flera spetsar. Schalen maskas av med en picotkant.
