For an older child, or a display bear, I include details on how to thread-joint so the limbs move. For a younger child, you can sew the limbs in place.

Yarn choice is pretty flexible - bigger yarn produces a bigger bear; smaller yarn makes a smaller bear. Just make sure you use the same yarn for the clothes as you do for the bear.
