Earth Shawl Knitting Pattern by Cecilia Losada – CeciLo Designs

Earth Shawl is part of my People of the Earth collection, a series of designs inspired by cultures that have lived in harmony with nature through respect and care. This design pays tribute to the Mapuche people, whose name literally means people of the earth. It is my small homage to their way of understanding the world: not as owners of the land, but as part of it.

Construction
The shawl begins at the center of the wingspan and gradually grows into a crescent shape. It is finished with an edging knitted directly onto the live stitches, creating a beautifully distinctive finish.

What You’ll Learn

• Create a crescent-shaped shawl with a well-balanced construction.
• Knit a perpendicular edging attached directly to the body of the shawl.

Chal Earth Patrón Punto por Cecilia Losada - CeciLo Designs

Earth Shawl forma parte de mi colección Gente de la Tierra, una serie de diseños inspirados en culturas que han sabido convivir con la naturaleza desde el respeto y el cuidado. En esta ocasión, el protagonista es el pueblo Mapuche, cuyo nombre significa precisamente gente de la tierra. Este chal es mi pequeño homenaje a su forma de entender el mundo: no como dueños de la tierra, sino como parte de ella.

Construcción
Comienza desde el centro de la envergadura y crece de forma progresiva hasta formar un chal de media luna. Se finaliza con una cenefa tejida directamente sobre los puntos vivos, creando un acabado muy especial.

• Nivel intermedio.
• Patrón completamente escrito.
• Vídeos tutoriales paso a paso de técnicas especiales.
• Video tutorial paso a paso de cómo tejer la cenefa.

Lo que aprenderás

• Crear un chal creciente con una construcción equilibrada.
• Tejer una cenefa en perpendicular y unida directamente al cuerpo del chal.
• Combinar texturas y calados sencillos para crear un tejido con mucho movimiento.
