This is not the greatest egg pattern in existence, but it’s pretty serviceable and produces a useable, egg-shaped egg. To make this, the pattern starts at the bottom of the egg and gradually decreases going up. I would also be prepared to weight the eggs, it makes the shape quite a bit better. I made these with sport weight (my current obsession) but the pattern would work just fine with worsted weight or even with a different needle size.
