Easy Argyle Hat
The Easy Argyle Hat pattern is a good project for learning stranded color work. We have quick, one minute (really), videos that show you how to hold your yarns, knit with two colors, and strand your floats. https://www.stonyhillfiberarts.com/KnittingVideos.html
Size: Small, Medium, Large (20, 22, 24 inches
around; 8-9.5 inches deep)
Yarn: Light Worsted, 100 gr– approx. 200 yd;
2 colors: 50 gr, 100 yd of each (Southern Bales)
Gauge: 5 stitches per inch in stockinette stitch
6.5 stitches & 6.75 rows per inch in argyle pattern
Needles: size 4 or 5, 16 inch circular & double
points for crown decreases
Know How: determined intermediate; stranded
knitting knowledge and/or willingness to learn it
is helpful. There are many videos online to help
you with this technique.
