Easy as Pie Shawl
The shaping of this shawl is created using simple short rows – and because the shawl is done in garter stitch, there is no need to hide wraps, just turn your knitting and head in the other direction- This makes it a great introduction to wrap and turn! The simple lace edging is an option and is the same as our Thanksgiving Shawl edging, using a slip stitch at the beginning of each row for a cleaner, neater edge. A chart is provided at the end for those that prefer to follow a chart, but chart reading is not necessary. A variety of yarns may be used, but the striping yarns with wide repeats give an interesting color effect. And because the shawl is garter stitch, it is also reversible. Enjoy!
