EasyFit Gloves a pattern by Fiona Langtry
Thank you for your interest!
I created this pattern when I was asked to make ‘lots’ of pairs of gloves for a local alpaca farmer using her hand-dyed yarn. There were often ‘bits’ left, so I’d make stripes, but the basic pattern became ‘standard’, so I wrote it down.
As written, this pattern is a snug fit on a medium women’s hand. The thumb section is worked first, with a special join which helps eliminate a hole between the thumb and the palm.
You’ll need 8ply (light worsted #3) yarn, and around 120-130metres. I find it’s easiest to measure in meters, because different fibers weigh differently.
I hope you enjoy this pattern - it has been well tested by both experienced testers, as well as one lady who had never made a pair of gloves before, so I am confident of the quality of this pattern.
