A simple crescent shaped shawl worked in 2 colors, with a diamond lace border. It could be worked in any color combination. Maybe your choice reminds you of a very special garden of Rhododendrons… like mine did…

This pattern was initially written for Neighborhood Fiber Company’s yarn club, and it is dedicated to my dear friend Ebba, who hosted me in Oslo, last summer, and showed me the magic of owning a Rhododendron garden.

FINISHED MEASUREMENTS
84 inches (210 cm) from side to side and 22 inches (55 cm) from top to bottom at deepest point (after blocking).

The sample was made using colorways Monserrat (A, dark purple) and Palermo (B, pink).

CONSTRUCTION NOTES
This shawl is worked from the centre top down. Stitches are increased at each side on every other row to give it its characteristic crescent shape. The lace edge instructions are both written and charted.
