As of September 2022, this pattern is now available in the Knit/Wit Designs Ravelry store! It has been updated with an additional size and an optional tubular cast on. It can also be worked in DK or worsted weight yarn.

Inspired by the flowers of a summer garden, the Echinacea Hat is worked in the round from the bottom up. The hat begins with a 1x1 rib to ensure flexibility in fit, before segueing into an easy textured lace pattern. Decrease lines in the pattern create a pleasing gather at the hat’s crown.

NOTES

  • This hat is worked in the round from the bottom up.
  • When working the crown shaping, change to double-pointed needles when necessary.
