To substitute I recommend using a yarn between Fingering and Sport weight. To best achieve the shawl shape, use a yarn with wool content or other kind of fibre with elasticity that can stretch easily when blocking.
The shawl is written in one size with recommendations for easy modifications.

Pour remplacer cette laine je recommande une grosseur entre Fingering et Sport. Pour bien obtenir la forme du châle mieux vaut un fil contenant de la pure laine ou d’autres fibres qui ont de l’élasticité et peuvent facilement s’étendre au blocage.
