Eddy
Eddy is a design built directly into CustomFit, which means that each Eddy pattern is written specifically to your choice of gauge and size.
Eddy is part of the Winter/Spring 2015 CustomFit Basics Collection.
Welcome to cozy town! The cowl is an utterly scrumptious silhouette, wrapping you up in the best knitting has to offer. Eddy features a rich cowl of 12” (30.5 cm), a longer length, and long sleeves with luxuriously deep ribbing. It’s shown in relaxed fit, but looks great no matter what.
This sample was knit in Rowan Alpaca Chunky, a warm, soft bulky yarn. Its chainette construction makes the yarn incredibly light for its size, and envelops a lot of air, making it particularly warm and cozy. It’s pleasantly springy to knit with, and lovely to wear. I used the color “Wren”, at a gauge of approximately 3 stitches per inch, and this 42″ (ish) sample used around 12 balls.
(One quick note on yardage in CustomFit patterns - the yardage requirements listed here are based on my preferred gauge for the recommended yarn. And while I’ve given approximate quantities for standard size sweaters, CustomFit will make your pattern in the size and gauge of your choice. It’s pretty tough to give yardage requirements for any possible combination! If you’re not using the recommended yarn, and/or you’re not a standard size, I recommend Hannah Fettig’s amazing app, stashbot, to get a sense of your yardage requirements.)
