This crochet edging on blanket fleece works up fast and easy if you don’t have time to make an entire blanket. You can use your favorite licensed sports team fabric, or a baby print, or novelty prints with your favorite pets on them. Any size blanket will work, as long as you keep in mind the multiple of four pattern.

First, you’ll cut your fabric to whatever size you wish. Next, you’ll use either yarn or embroidery floss and work the blanket stitch around the fabric. Finally, you’ll crochet a shell stitch pattern for several rounds, optionally finishing with a modified shell with a picot in the center.
