Edina Hat
The Edina hat is a squishy, cabled head-hugger that looks fantastic in a solid yarn or one with color changes. (Avoid marled yarns or those with quick color changes as the crispness of the braids will be obscured.) The ample cuff adds a second thick layer to this hat, to keep ears and foreheads especially toasty.
A matching pompom looks great with this hat, or attach an elegant faux-fur topper. A yarn ponytail could also be twisted into a faux messy-bun, to make this a really cute gift for someone who wishes she had thicker, more messy-bun-worthy hair than she might really have.
