Edinburgh at Sunset
These mittens were inspired by the castles of Europe. Intended for an experienced knitter, they are knit in 6 colors, with up to 3 colors per row.
The mittens are approximately 7.5”/19 cm in circumference at the given gauge. The sample was knit with 2.00mm and 2.25mm needles. To knit different sizes, please adjust needle size or yarn weight. Please note because of the 3 color rows and long floats, there is a tendency for these to be tighter than typical stranded knitting. To compensate for this, you may want to go up a needle size.
Skills: knit, purl, provisional cast on, stranded knitting in the round using 3 colors, long floats, M1L, K2tog, SSK, duplicate stitch or intarsia in the round, picking up stitches
Sample was knit using Knit Picks Palette in the following colors:
Jay - 60 yds/55m
Ash - 100 yds/92m
Silver - 85 yds/80m
Canary - 15 yds/15m
Orange - 25 yds/25m
Serrano - 20 yds/20m
