Effervescent Lace Stole
If you’re looking to embark on a knitting journey that celebrates individuality and creativity, the Effervescent Lace Stole is the perfect choice. This pattern is designed to mimic organic growth patterns found in nature. It seamlessly transitions from delicate lace motifs to solid garter stitch and then back to bubbly lace again. This fluid progression creates a visually stunning piece that is both elegant and simple to knit.
Because of how this pattern is written, the results will never turn out the same way twice. Instead of a rigid set of instructions, the pattern is written as an algorithm, or a set of rules. In each row, you’ll be told how many eyelets to work, but not where to put them. That’ll be your decision! The resulting lace stitches will look like a slow and even gradient across the project, fading in and out of garter stitch. But you’ll never have to keep track of a complicated chart!

Join Xandy Peters and Bazaar Girls Yarn Shop & Fibre Emporium for a summertime Knit-A-Long this July and August!
The Effervescent Lace Stole is a fun, interactive lace pattern but we know that it can be intimidating to cast on a project that gives you so much artistic freedom. Let’s work on this project together, as a Knit-a-Long.
There’s a public information session on July 9th at 4 PM Pacific Standard Time to hear more about the pattern, yarn recommendations and to meet some of the other people who are joining in the KAL.
The Effervescent Lace Stole KAL will officially start 2 weeks later on July 23 with a Cast on Party. There will be additional sessions on August 6th and 27th with time to socialize with the other participants, see everyone’s progress, and get any help you might need. We have prizes planned for each of the sessions and lots more fun in store.
Are you ready for some algorithmic knitting?
